USA – Harvest Kids, June 4, 2022

We are so blessed and encouraged when the Harvest Kids apply these words every Saturday morning, crushing the cans that have been donated and counting their change and other money donated so they can finish the primary school classrooms for vulnerable children in Africa. They have $3,300 of the $5,800 needed to finish the walls. We are praying for some faithful donors to help them with this challenge. After we sang songs together, we were blessed to have Avery show the kids some of the card tricks she did at a recent talent show. It is wonderful to allow these young people to use their gifts and talents. Today, Dale read to them the story of the miracle of Jesus turning the water to wine at a wedding and the kids followed along with their own bibles. Wonderful sharing and questions and we were able to share with them the promise that Jesus gave to us in John 14:12

After lunch, we played the M&M game. Each person draws an M&M out of a cup, and then shares something about the emotion that is tied with that color. Such as red is anger, blue is sad, and brown is afraid. Always lots of fun and a great way to learn more about one another. Then there was golf, hot wheels racing, balance beam, basketball, air hockey, cup stacking, and more cards. Another couple stopped by to drop off some broccoli starts for the gardens, then we stopped on the way to take Clara to Granite Falls at the petting zoo in Mt. Vernon and were blessed to have a friend come over with the 6-year-old girl he takes care of and some grandparents with their 5-year-old granddaughter. And then a couple of strawberries from the garden before every leaves.
