USA – Harvest Kids – October 24, 2020

Brrr! Our first “ice on the windshield” morning to pick up kids in Granite Falls for Harvest Kids. It was a wonderful morning to add some change to the bullet that is being filled up to help build the primary school in central Africa. We listened to some awesome music and then shared testimonies about our friend Cecilia from the Navajo Reservation. She is scheduled for surgery for cancer in 4 days. We also shared about the situation that our Mexico coordinator, Olivia, is in not being able to travel back to Mexico for over 3 months while she is waiting for US immigration to review her resident status. She continues to minister to children in Arizona while her husband, Miguel, continues to maintain the ministry in Mexico. Cecilia and Olivia have both visited Harvest Kids and have their handprints on the wall and their names inscribed in the hearts of these kids. The kids were excited to make cards to send to both of them. Many thanks to Samantha’s mom, Jen, who made caramel apples that we celebrated October birthdays with. We were also blessed with a visit from Pastor Garnett Pipps from North Carolina who is staying with George and Linda while he is preaching at a 9-day revival at the Sedro Woolley Community Church. The kids all went shopping to purchase items to fill up four Christmas shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse that will be sent to vulnerable children in different countries around the globe. The kids did some flag worship at the Garden of Eden family ministry in Mt. Vernon and spent the rest of the evening making necklaces and painting.

“How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, ‘Your God reigns!” Isaiah 52:7
