What a blessed day in the Harvest Home with these amazing young people. Most of the cans that had been donated had already been crushed so we started the morning counting the change that had been donated to support the Harvest Kids next project helping orphaned and vulnerable children in central Africa. They counted and rolled up $132.34. Pr. Martin in Africa is currently praying about where the greatest need is and will let us know soon. We talked about Veteran’s Day and honored that by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and then continued the discussion focusing on the price that Jesus paid for our redemption and how much more we should be grateful for His sacrifice that has given us eternal life.
Lynn, from CEF, shared a wonderful message about thanksgiving using Psalms 92:1
“It is good to give thanks to the Lord. To sing praises to Your Name, O Most High.”
Amazing inter-active ministry, including helping these young people to know all the books of the Bible. Always an amazing simple message about a sovereign God that is in control of everything; omniscient, knowing everything; omni-present, being everywhere and omnipotent, being all powerful and choosing to come and live in us. Afterwards, the kids decorated paper bags and loaded them with dried apple chips, hazelnuts and candy, some from their trick or treat treasure, to be given to the homeless in our community. They finished the afternoon learning to make balloon animals and preparing bags of hazelnuts that will be used to get donations to support the over-all ministry.
