Ronaldo Plascencia

Harvest Kids Coordinator

Hi! My name is Ronaldo and I’m 17 years old, I was saved a little over a year ago. It’s a long story, but I can summarize it for you . I was in some dark places in my life wanting to please myself, others and wanting to gain the world. For six years I dealt with that and ended up with two choices.

I could end up dead somewhere on the streets

or spend the rest of my life in prison.

That’s where I was headed.

But by convictions of the Holy Spirit I was saved.

I was done pleasing the world and wanting to do something meaningful and I turned from my wicked ways and denied myself (2 Chronicles 7:14).

I’ve been growing in my faith since that moment in life and surrounding myself with people who are focused on eternal things. Like spreading the message of salvations to God’s children who might not know they GOD’s child. It’s been an honor to be sent by God to let His children know about a loving God, who’s love is everlasting. I love being able to let all those kids, teens and parents know about Jesus in Spanish and English. It’s a Gift from God to spread the words of eternal life.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me.” (Matthew 19:14)

This last year has been full of grace.  I was welcomed into Child Evangelism Fellowship® and received training through their CYIA (Christian Youth In Action) program to shepherd children during the 5-day clubs and other programs. In September 2024, I was privileged to become a member of the Harvest Vision Ministries board of directors and to be appointed to serve as the Harvest Kids Coordinator.. Every week we mail a newsletter specifically to Harvest Kids that includes the lessons for the next week. Terry Cook supplies us with lessons each week. (Thank you, Terry!) Twice a month we meet for lessons, can crushing, playing soccer or volleyball or wherever God leads us as we bring Jesus into our daily lives. Now that I am driving, I can help Papa George with much of the transportation for the kids. Rather this is up and down the freeway from Marysville to Mt Vernon, Washington or to various “field” trips.

My favorite versus is Matthew 6:25-34”

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. NIV: New International Version
